In a world of muted and conventional design, Cate decided to embark on a journey to create a home office that truly spoke to her soul. An interior designer by profession, but this project was different. It was personal, deeply personal.
It wasn't until the pandemic forced her to work from home that she found the opportunity to transform her own space into a haven that reflected her true self.
She began by curating and collecting pieces from her life's journey, from far-flung travels to nostalgic mementos. The shelves hold antiques from family members, the desk was a reclaimed piece she had salvaged years ago. Each item was a fragment of her past, a window into her experiences.
But beyond being a place Cate could take some design risks, the space also needed to be functional as a place to create, to host both employees, vendors and clients.
The result was a symphony of color and texture, a reflection of her personality. A true place to create and collaborate.
What was originally an empty, cobweb filled storage space, now serves as an oasis for creative exploration.
